How To:
Start with one color and find a contrasting or complementary color. Having trouble deciding? Check out our Color Mixer for some fun ideas. Start on one section and add your color, then another adjacent section to add the other color(s). It’s best if you use different brushes for each color. When going to blend, wipe the brush clean and work one color into the other, using soft strokes to blend the colors together. You can do this randomly or on a more structured design pattern. The blending of these colors look like a Florida sunset…

Thank you Crysdawna for the tip on using hot glue to create your molds. I’m not patient enough to wait for the clay to dry so I thought this technique would out for me. But you came to my rescue and now I have about 50 glue gun molds made but not a project in mind to use them on lol. But that’s the mind of a creative…let me have what I need ready even if I don’t ever remember that I need it. ??♀️?.

So the gorilla glue hot glue sticks and is durable ? It seems counter intuitive that hot glue and wood are a permanent bond. Just asking. Thanks

This is my SOUL piece! When Crys’Dawna originally posted this, I truly fell in love and decided to start attempting furniture instead of jist canvas. It inspires me every time I look at it. I’ve done a few less bold, but colorful pieces. Just waiting for the right one to attempt this look on. It’s hard for me to find pieces where I am located that don’t cost too much. The only thing I’ve never been able to figure out or find in any posts is where she used the Moonshine Metallic?

Crys’Dawna used the Moonshine Metallics in Gold Digger to shade on the flowers and on the edges of the piece. It added an extra pop and sparkle to the edges of the doors, drawers, and flowers.
