How to Blend Bright Colors

This little slice of sunshine and happiness is probably one of my most favorite pieces.

The paint colors are so rich and bright! Such a free spirit feel!

Thank you Crysdawna for the tip on using hot glue to create your molds. I’m not patient enough to wait for the clay to dry so I thought this technique would out for me. But you came to my rescue and now I have about 50 glue gun molds made but not a project in mind to use them on lol. But that’s the mind of a creative…let me have what I need ready even if I don’t ever remember that I need it. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣.

So the gorilla glue hot glue sticks and is durable ? It seems counter intuitive that hot glue and wood are a permanent bond. Just asking. Thanks

    1. Dixie Belle Paint Company says:

Hi Kathleen, yes the method Crys’Dawna used is durable! Happy painting! 🙂

  7. Lindsay says:

This is my SOUL piece! When Crys’Dawna originally posted this, I truly fell in love and decided to start attempting furniture instead of jist canvas. It inspires me every time I look at it. I’ve done a few less bold, but colorful pieces. Just waiting for the right one to attempt this look on. It’s hard for me to find pieces where I am located that don’t cost too much. The only thing I’ve never been able to figure out or find in any posts is where she used the Moonshine Metallic?

    1. Dixie Belle Paint Company says:

Hi Lindsay, we’re so glad you’re loving this piece! We’re so happy to hear it has inspired you to paint your own furniture pieces as well! Crys’Dawna used the Moonshine Metallics in Gold Digger to shade on the flowers and on the edges of the piece. It added an extra pop and sparkle to the edges of the doors, drawers, and flowers. Hope this helps! Happy painting! 🙂
