Update a Vintage Cabinet
Hi everyone, Denise from Salvaged Inspirations here!
Check out this FREE curb-shopped Vintage Radio Cabinet
I LOVE working on curb-shopped salvaged finds. I feel I can indulge and try new colors, techniques or products — all without the worry of mucking it up. It’s fun to try things I might not otherwise try on pieces I’ve spent money on! Like this bold pink and red combo!
Materials List:
- Vintage Radio Cabinet – SALVAGED
- Foam Roller + Cheap Paint Brush
- Sandpaper | Shop Towels
- Husky Spray Gun
- Honky Tonk Red
- Peony Pink
How To:
This old stereo cabinet required repair before painting. There were holes in the back, lifting veneer on the bottom and peeling paint all over.
After the repairs, I primed this piece and sprayed 2 coats of this Peony Pink on the inside.
Then I sprayed 2 coats of this Honky Tonk Red on the outside.
I have to admit, with all that’s going on in the world, these colors managed to brightened my mood!
