Hi everyone! It’s Tammy from Rustic Orchard Home! Today we will be making a Heart Topiary Valentine’s Day Sign in two sizes with different color schemes.  Use the larger sized sign in bigger spaces like your front porch and the smaller one to dress up vignettes around your home.  This is a fun project with lots of personalization possibilities.  Let’s get started!

Materials List:

How To:

Step 1:

First, we are going to use the smaller topiary heart sign kit with a pink and metallic color scheme. To begin, I used Tobacco Road Voodoo Gel Stain to add a basecoat of color to multiple parts of the kit. To stain the pieces, just add some stain to the surface and rub in using a clean cloth.

Step 2:

Next, paint a few of the pieces in the color Endless Shore. I used a makeup sponge and small paint brush to add the color to these pieces. When using a makeup sponge to paint, be sure to pounce the paint onto the surface in even coats. Then, I used a small brush to paint polka dots on the flower pot.

Step 3:

Now, add the color Conch to the heart pieces. Using the end of your paint brush, add polka dots to the perimeter of the heart shape.
