How To Paint a Spring Sign:
Step 1 : Choose colors and lay down a layer of gel stain (yes, you can paint on top of the stain!)
First, I decided on Voodoo Gel Stain in the color Tobacco Road and the colors Prickly Pear, Midnight Green, and Whitecap from Silk All-In-One Mineral Paint. I added a bit of the gel stain to the base of the sign and applied it to the entire surface using a clean cloth.

STEP 2: Add contrast with various colors
Second, I used the color Whitecap to paint the words “Hello Spring.” When applying paint to my sign pieces, I always use a makeup sponge.
Step 3: Continue adding layers of paint
Again, Using the same sponge that was just used for the white, I dipped it into the green paint and then stippled it onto the surface to create a variegated green leaf.
Step 4: And paint some more!
Next, I grabbed a clean makeup sponge and painted the circle detail that will be placed along the edge of the sign using the color Prickly Pear.

Step 5: Glue your elements together
Finally, once all of the sign pieces are dry, it’s time to glue everything together. Add a bit of super glue to each piece and set it in place.
As a result, you have a finished sign just in time for Spring!
