Creating your own Halloween décor doesn’t have to be scary!  Today I’m going to show you how to make your own ghost wall décor using a kit from Twin Knobs Woodworks.  This project is festive, cute and easy to make.

Supplies you’ll need to make your own ghost wall décor:

This project starts with an adorable kit from Twin Knobs Woodworks.  When you order you can choose to add the “Boo” or bat cutout to the bottom.  For this project, I decided to go with the “Boo”.

Step 1: Paint the individual pieces

I began by painting the ghost cutout with the color Endless Shore.  I used a medium sized paint brush to do this.

Next, I used a makeup sponge to paint the word “Boo” with the color Caviar.

I used the same color and method to paint the eyes.

Then, I used the color Rusty Nail to paint the ghost’s glasses.

Step 2: Assemble all of the pieces

Once everything was painted, shaded and dry I glued it all together.

Step 3: Stain the back of the ghost

Finally, I applied a layer of Tobacco Road Voodoo Gel Stain to the back to give it a more finished look.

And here’s my finished product.  It has the perfect mix of cute and spooky!

Wasn’t that a fun project? With just a few supplies and a bit of creativity, you’ve transformed a simple wooden kit into a charming ghost that’s perfect for the season. We hope Tammy’s DIY Ghost Wall Decor inspired you to add some handcrafted Halloween fun to your home. Don’t forget to share your finished ghost with us; we’d love to see how you put your own spin on this spooky-cute decor!
