Hello, everyone! Lee Ann from Creative Moments here! Today I will show you how to Give Your Dining Table a Makeover. Let’s get started!
Materials:
- BOSS in Gray
- Dixie Belle Mud
- White Lightning
- Black Sands Silk Mineral Paint
- Clear Coat in Satin
- Clear Coat in Flat
- Big Mama’s Butta
- La Petite Brush
- Synthetic Brushes
- Applicator Sponge
How To:
Step 1: Fix Any Damages
Firstly, I scored a huge deal on a dining set. It was listed for free, so I picked it up and it was in very rough shape. I fixed the damaged areas with Dixie Mud, and I sanded it when it dried.
Step 2: Clean! Clean! Clean!
Secondly, I noticed something was gumming up the tracks. I scrubbed the tracks down with warm water and White Lightning. Cleaning your pieces before adding any product to them is always necessary, do not skip this important step!
Step 3: Priming Before Paint
Thirdly, After the set was dry, I lubricated the tracks with Big Mama’s Butta using the La Petite Brush for extra glide. I primed the whole table with two coats of BOSS in Gray to prevent odors or any bleed thru.
Step 5: Paint and Seal
Finally, I applied two coats of Black Sands Silk Mineral Paint to the table. I sealed the tabletop for durability by using Clear Coat in Satin mixed with a small amount of the Black Sands Silk Mineral Paint just so there was no haze when it dried. After everything has dried, I then added another layer of topcoat but this time Clear Coat in Flat using the Dixie Belle Applicator Sponge.
