Spotlight on Rhonda’s Creations & Collectibles

Meet Rhonda, the passionate owner of Rhonda’s Creations & Collectibles, a proud Dixie Belle retailer for the past five years. Rhonda began using Dixie Belle after trying a different brand her sister sold. However, as time passed, she felt the need for a change. She ordered two jars of Dixie Belle and was instantly hooked after just one project. The smooth application and brushstroke-free finish made a lasting impression. She knew then that Dixie Belle was the brand she wanted to offer at Those Were The Days.

Rhonda’s love for Dixie Belle goes beyond selling paint; she’s dedicated to helping her customers discover the same joy. To show her appreciation, she offers a loyalty card—buy 10, 8 oz jars, and get a punch for each purchase. After 10 punches, customers receive a free jar of paint! She also collects emails through the cards for a chance to win a special drawing, ensuring her customers stay engaged and return for more.

Rhonda works three days a week at Those Were The Days, a beautiful three-floor marketplace, where she has her booth upstairs. For Rhonda, painting with Dixie Belle is more than a business—it’s therapy. After placing her mother in a nursing home and losing her in April 2023, painting became a way to honor her mom’s love for art. Rhonda calls Dixie Belle her “therapy” and continues to pour her heart into each project, keeping her mom’s memory alive through creativity.

Introducing Hebehome, the first and only Dixie Belle dealer in Denmark! Their journey started years ago when they sought a paint that could create realistic patina effects, like rust. They discovered Patina Paint, which quickly became one of their favorites.

Over time, Hebehome expanded to offer all of Dixie Belle’s product lines, providing a comprehensive selection for all skill levels. With 15 years of painting experience, Hebehome excels in guiding customers through every project. Meet Leslie Clarke, the talented owner and artist behind Le French Hen LLC, a proud Dixie Belle retailer. Leslie’s journey began when she was dissatisfied with other paint brands and sought something better. After trying Dixie Belle samples, she was hooked! The quality spoke for itself, and she knew she found the perfect match for her business.

One of Leslie’s favorite pieces is the Dried Sage Dresser, painted with Chalk Mineral Paint. She used it as both a stain and finish to preserve the wood top. This project showcases how versatile and affordable Dixie Belle products are. Leslie loves how easy the paint is to use, and it always delivers stunning results.

To keep her business thriving, Leslie spends 8-10 hours a week at Colliope Co, where her booth is located. She helps customers, gives live demos, and answers questions. By regularly painting furniture and home décor, Leslie provides real-life examples of what Dixie Belle can do, building trust with her customers.

Leslie also hosts workshops and classes like her Paint Your Own Furniture Workshop and Boujee Birdhouses classes. These allow her to share her love for Dixie Belle, teaching others how to create beautiful transformations.

Meet Neely Pearson Hostetler, the passionate owner of Uncovering Treasures inside Louisville Trading Co in Louisville, Mississippi. Neely’s journey with Dixie Belle began in 2020 during the global pandemic. Despite the uncertainty, Neely took a leap of faith, and that decision has since transformed her business. Now, over five years later, she proudly supports Dixie Belle’s high-quality, American-made products, which she believes are the best on the market.

Neely’s go-to product is Chalk Mineral Paint. She especially loves the colors Fluff, Peony, and Palmetto. These colors, along with the paint’s quick-drying, self-leveling, and minimal prep features, make it perfect for various projects. Retailer Spotlight: Southern Pickens

In 2015, Kristi Hardaway was working full-time in healthcare marketing, married with a young son, and dreaming of being a stay-at-home mom. A close friend, Summer Hammons of Hammons Nest, encouraged her to turn her craftiness into a business through a vendor-based store. After discussing with her husband, Kristi took the leap and started Southern Pickens.

Beginning with a small booth inside Summer’s store, Kristi sold various crafts but soon found her niche with door hangers. Her business grew, expanding to a hallway’s worth of space. By 2016, Kristi hosted paint parties featuring Dixie Belle Paint, and her Etsy sales flourished. When the pandemic hit, Kristi transitioned fully to online sales.

In 2022, Kristi took over Summer’s Dixie Belle retailership and opened a second Etsy shop showcasing her digital artwork. She expanded her product line in 2024 to include Dixie Belle’s Silk line and became a Certified Elite Retailer in 2025. Kristi now has a booth at Rust Magnolias Marketplace in Ruston, LA.

Kristi balances her thriving business with being a wife, mom to two, homeschool teacher, and campus worship director. We’re proud to spotlight Kristi and Southern Pickens as inspiring members of the Dixie Belle family.
