Learn How To Dye Fabric

Fabric was made to be dyed. No, seriously! If that isn’t the case, then why is it so darn easy to dye with Dixie Belle Paint?

Well full disclosure, Dixie Belle Paint could make solving world peace or rocket science at least slightly easier. It just simplifies everything. The paint can do no wrong. Dingy Furniture? Grab some Dixie Belle Paint. Have a dull wooden table? Dixie Belle Paint to the rescue.

But I digress.

Back to the matter at hand, dying. Whoops I meant dyeing, dyeing fabric that is. Wow that was a close one, but now that I have your undivided attention, let’s get to it.

Here are some quick and simple instructions for dyeing fabric that use can use for garments such as clothing, tapestry, tablecloths, pillowcases and so much more:

STEP 1: Take your Dixie Belle Paint color of choice and mix it with distilled water in a clean bucket, until smooth. For the mixture you’ll want to use about 75% water and 25% paint. Its very important that you mix the two well or the minerals will sink to the bottom. Yikes!

STEP 2: Submerge your piece of fabric in the paint and water mixture. Then gently remove the garment and remove the excess water from it.

Note: The color of your fabric will be a little lighter than your original paint color.

STEP 3: Lay your fabric to dry.

We really aren’t kidding when we say that Dixie Belle Paint is the easy peasy paint. Its truly simple as 1, 2, 3 and you have a beautiful piece of dyed fabric to bring along with you to fancy cocktail parties and impress your friends with&… or you know, to just keep in your house. Your choice.

As always, let loose and have fun with these projects. We cant wait to see what you come up with!
