I’ve decided to stain my kitchen cabinets instead of painting – do you think that’s possible? They are a dark maple and I’d like to do a charcoal gray or black – is that possible? What products do I need?? Thanks so much in advance!!

    1. Dixie Belle Paint Company says:

      Hi Ivana,
Yes, you can stain your kitchen cabinets, you need to clean with White Lightning and you can use Colonial Black No Pain Gel Stain over the existing stain, no sanding required!

  2. Shanana says:

Can i put a light stain over a dark stain without having to sand to bare wood?

    1. Dixie Belle Paint Company says:

      Hi Shanana,

Yes in fact you can! 🙂

  3. Karen says:

I have painted a chair Linen and then put voodoo white magic gel stain over that, wiping to give it a weathered look…my question is..Do I need to now clear coat the piece? Thanks

    1. Dixie Belle Paint Company says:

Hi Karen! You don’t have to use clear coat, but it can help protect your piece. 🙂
