Dixie Belle Paint Surfaces
Dixie Belle Paint adheres to wood, walls, glass, ceramics, metal, mirrors, plastic, fabric, concrete, leather, and even styrofoam or cardboard!
You do not have to put a top coat on it, but you can if you’re interested in creating a different look and feel on the finished piece. We have a variety of waxes, glazes, and clear coats that you can put on top of the paint.

Your masterpiece will dry quickly with a beautiful, matte finish!
Dixie Belle Paint is thick so a little goes a long way. The longer the lid stays off the thicker it will get.
If you like a thinner look, just add a little water and stir.
Dixie Belle Paint Sizes
Dixie Belle Paint comes in 8 oz, 16 oz, and 32 oz sizes!
8-ounce will cover 38 square feet.
16-ounce will cover 75 square.
32-ounce of will cover 150 square feet.
Dixie Belle Paint Coats
If you’re painting with a darker color, a single coat will usually do.
If it’s a lighter color, you will probably need two. Add your second coat after about 30 minutes.

Can I repaint Dixie Belle paint over Gator clear coat without having to sand the Gator?

Yes, and no needing to sand as long as you did thin layers of the previous Gator Hide!
Can I use the caviar mineral paint on a wall as an accent color? Do I use a roller since it’s a wall??

I’ll be starting my first project with Dixie Belle products and I have a question:
After I clean with White Lightening, prime with Slick Stick, paint with Teal Chalk Mineral Paint, and then apply a satin clear coat. Do I need to apply Gator Hide last? The piece of furniture I’m painting is a laminated desk, which will be a working desk.
Hi Michelle! You do not need to apply Satin Clear Coat and Gator Hide. If you’d like extra durability, we recommend using Gator Hide ?

Hi! I would like to paint my particle board dresser in the Bunker hill blue color. It is currently black. First question: do I really not need to sand or prime since it is black? Second: will this paint adhere to particle board, or do I need to use some other product as well? Thanks!
Hi Sydney! If the surface of your dresser is slick, we recommend priming with Slick Stick to give the paint something to grip to. If the surface is not slick, you can simply clean thoroughly with White Lightning and then paint 🙂
