Hey everyone, it’s Regina from Saved From Salvage here! Let’s learn how to update your plant station with Chalk Mineral Paint!
Materials List:
- Dixie Belle White Lightning
- Wildflowers and Butterflies Transfer
- Vintage Duck Egg Chalk Mineral Paint
Step 1: First prepare your plant station for Chalk Mineral Paint
First, I took apart the old and worn-out china cabinet and did some necessary reinforcements, due to its condition, I am only using the top half. The weathered piece was perfect to update as a plant station because of the condition. Chalk Mineral Paint will disguise imperfections with little effort!
Step 2: Prep your piece before applying Chalk Mineral Paint by cleaning it with White Lightning
Secondly, I cleaned the entire piece using Dixie Belles White Lightning.
Step 3: Decide where you would like to put your Belles and Whistles Transfer
Thirdly, I chose the Wildflowers and Butterflies transfer for the glass on this cabinet. I made sure to place it exactly where I wanted it to go then I peeled back the plastic backing, and it went on perfectly.
Step 4: Get ready to paint with Chalk Mineral Paint
Finally, I wanted to keep the tattered look on the outside but painted the inside using two coats of Vintage Duck Egg Chalk Mineral Paint.
Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint is suitable for chalk painting on wood, metal, matte plastics, brick, stone, glass, concrete and so much more.
