How To Paint A Stair Railing

Hi, everybody! I’m Marieza from Home With Marieza!

How To:

Step 1:

First, I had to use a paint stripper to remove the original layer of stain. I scraped away the stain with a sharp bladed tool I found at my nearest home improvement store.

Step 2:

Then, to prep, I protected the carpet by wrapping painters tape around the top and bottom of each baluster.

Step 3:

Next, to prime, I used Dixie Belle’s BOSS Primer. After priming, I started painting with Cotton Chalk Mineral Paint.

Step 4:

In addition, for the Handrails and Newel Caps, I used a store bought brown shade. After everything was painted, I sealed with Clear Coat in Flat.
