Do you ever want to make a Dixie Belle Paint color lighter or darker? Let’s mix some colors!

You can create the perfect custom color by mixing two colors together 50/50.

This piece was painted with a mix of Kudzu and Collard Greens. I wanted to paint with Kudzu, but I just wanted to darken it a little bit.

Pro Tip: Did you know that Dixie Belle has a color mixer on the site? Add and subtract colors and quantities to get your perfect color and we’ll give the recipe for making it. You can also match anything in a picture to get the recipe for how to make that color.

How To:

First, I cleaned the piece with White Lightning.

Then I painted the whole piece with two coats of the custom green.

I sealed it with Satin Clear Coat and used Best Dang Wax in Brown to really bring out the details. All done!
