Hey, everybody! It’s Tracey from Tracey’s Fancy here. I’m going to show you how to create a DIY sign using a helpful hack!

Materials:

How To Transform Hobby Lobby Art To a Sign:

Step 1: Prime with white and grey Bonding BOSS adhesion primer stain-blocker

First, prime the sign with white Bonding BOSS and add a coat of gray BOSS after the first coat dries. (The extra coat is to make sure the previous lettering was blocked out.)

Step 2: Lay down a layer of Tea Rose pink

After, once the BOSS dries, cover with 1 coat of Tea Rose.

Step 3: Stipple contrasting greens around the edges

Next, introduce Collard Greens around the edges using the mister bottle and a stippling blending technique.

Step 4: Draw guidelines with chalk

Then, I used a ruler to draw lines with my chalk so the name stays straight on the sign. Draw the name and then draw the flowers!

Step 5: Start painting your design message

After that, use Saltwater to trace the name onto the sign with a small angled brush. Paint each flower with the Saltwater as well.

Step 6: (optional) Add additional color(s)

I chose to add more color to the flowers by using a very watered-down version of Marigold, Terracotta, and a deep green hue.

Step 7: Seal with top coat

Seal your sign with Top Coat in Flat, and enjoy your piece!
