DIY Valentine’s Day Decor

Hi everyone! It’s Tammy from Rustic Orchard Home! Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to add a little glam to any space.  Today, I’m going to show you how I put this gold Valentine’s Day decor idea together using some fun products from Dixie Belle Paint.

Materials List:

How To:

Step 1:

Start by painting the wood block with the color Tea Rose. Be sure to paint the front, back and sides of the block.  Let dry.

Step 2:

Next, add gilding wax lightly to a stencil brush while gently holding the stencil in place. Then add the Gilding Wax in a circular motion with a light hand until the entire surface is covered.

Step 3:

Now it’s time to embellish the heart cutout. Start by painting the entire surface with the color Buttercream.  Let dry. Once the paint is dry, use what’s left of the Gold Gilding Wax on the brush from earlier and with a very light hand apply a bit of Gilding Wax on the heart.
