Hello, everyone! It’s Niky from The House on Silverado here. Today we are going to updo an old side table and personalize it.

Materials:

How- To Custom Paint a Side-table:

Step 1: Clean thoroughly using Pristine Clean

First, clean the piece with Pristine Clean.

Step 2: Apply lights coats of No Pain Gel Stain

Then, using the applicator pad, apply 2 light coats of No Pain Gel Stain in Colonial Black while allowing it to dry between coats.

Step 3: Apply a coat of paint

Next, apply a coat of Caviar Chalk Mineral Paint.

Step 4: Customize with a stencil

Thereafter, choose a collegiate stencil that best suits you.

Step 5: Paint stencil with light dabbing

After that, use Colonel Mustard Chalk Mineral Paint to color in the collegiate stencil that you chose.

Step 6: Finish with Easy Peasy Spray Wax to seal

Then, spray a generous amount of Easy Peasy Spray Wax over the whole base of the piece and then buff it well.

Step 7: Add depth with dark Best Dang Wax

Next, use a chip brush to add some Best Dang Wax in Black into the hardware and crevices.

Step 8: Seal with Gator Hide

After, apply 2 coats of Gator Hide using a damp Blue Sponge.

PRO TIP:  add a few drops of black into the top coat to avoid any streaky effects.
