This little table has been transformed for the second time! Initially revamped as a nightstand for my daughter, it now features a bold floral transfer on a classic black finish. The vibrant design creates a fresh, eye-catching look, making it a standout piece once again. 🌸🖤

Step 1:

I cleaned the table with White Lightning cleaner, now available premixed in a spray bottle.

Step 2:

I wanted to use the newly released My Favorite Bouquet transfer with this purple top.

The base was lightly scuff sanded to freshen it up, then a coat of Caviar Chalk Mineral Paint was applied. I prefer starting with tables flipped upside down to easily paint the underside edges and access all sides of the legs.

Next, I flipped the table over to address the top. I initially painted the edges, but the two-tone color block didn’t work for me.

So, I scuff sanded the top, wiped it down, and applied a couple of coats of Anchor Silk All-In-One Mineral Paint.

Step 3:

I used 1/2 of the floral Dixie Belle transfer.

The My Favorite Bouquet transfer is partially applied to the black painted tabletop. A pair of feet wearing black sandals is on the cement floor in front of the table.

Remove the backing from the transfer and place it onto the tabletop. Align the other half to match the pattern. Keep the backing on until it’s in position. Then, slowly peel it back and rub it into place.

NOTE – overlap the pieces a couple mms as it will shrink back.

Step 4:

To seal the transfer in place I brushed on 2 coats of Satin Clear Coat with a 2″ Synthetic Brush. This was followed by 2 coats of Gator Hide with the same washed brush.

DO NOT apply Gator Hide directly over transfers as they will repel and curl edges.

Step 5:

The base was given a coat of anchor Dixie Belle Silk All-In-One Mineral Paint to match the top
