    Hi –
I am a first time painter and user of chalk paint. I would like to paint all my furniture in Cotton Chalk Mineral Paint- I was wondering as a first timer what finishes do you recommend.
    1. Big Mama Butta,
    2. Gator Hide or the
    3. Clear coats- Also I am debating on whether I should go flat or satin with the clear coat if that is the easier to use.
I will be painting my entire bedroom set, bed, night tables, desks and dressers(all mission cherry wood). As well as my entertainment, dining table and hutch- veneer and laminate woods.
    Can anyone help?

    Sincerely – First timer (Lilly)

Hi Lilly, we are so excited for you to try our products! Big Mama’s Butta is more of a conditioner than a finish. Gator Hide is great for pieces that will get a lot of traffic like table tops, cabinets, and any outdoor projects. Clear coats are a great option, and it really depends what kind of finish you would like. Since you are going from a red-toned wood to a white color we would recommend using BOSS on your surface before painting to prevent any bleed-through from changing the color of your paint.
