What is the purpose of the base coat when using the metal paint and patina? We are so confused. Some youtube videos skip it.
For metal surfaces, apply Prime Start which is an activator. For non-metal, you apply one coat of Dixie Belle Paint. After that, apply one coat of Patina Paint and let dry. Then, apply second coat of Patina Paint and while still wet, spray on the Patina Spray. It can take 2-6 hours to show the full effect.
I don’t mean the primer on metal, but the base coat you instruct us to use on other materials?
