How to Update a Farmhouse Set

Do you have a farmhouse dining set in need of some love?

I updated this set of four chairs with bright colors. Let’s go through the process – its easy peasy!

Dixie Belle Paint Products:
How To:

The first step for my project was to give everything a really good cleaning with White Lightning.

This product is perfect for getting rid of dirt, grime, and grease – especially on antique or vintage furniture.

For more information about White Lightning, read this!

Next, I decided to paint the farmhouse chairs in two contrasting colors just to do something different.

Farmhouse style is typically the stark, clean white distressed with wood tones, but I wanted to mix it up a bit.

I painted in the chairs in Barn Red and Daisy.

Then, the base of the table was Drop Cloth and sealed with Gator Hide. Drop Cloth is the #1 Dixie Belle color and I completely understand why!

I have one too! Did it on top of this dresser. Love it!!

Works great I used it on this coffee table.

I definitely would love this!

I have one! LOVE it! It makes a very cool wood grain pattern! I did it on a desk/vanity.

It's a lot of fun to work with. You can make the knots small or longer depending on when you rock the tool.

We did this desk top. We tried to make it look like metal with wood grains.
