Hi everyone, Denise from Salvaged Inspirations here!

I’m SO excited to share this Laminate Dresser Before & After with you! It’s also my birthday in 6 days – the BIG five-oh!

To help me celebrate I have a surprise for YOU … a generous G*I*V*E*A*W*A*Y sponsored by Dixie Belle Paint Company!

But first, here’s the before and after of today’s makeover. This dresser’s been sitting in my inventory for 6+ years because painting laminate is not one of my favorite things to do.

How To:

I started by giving this piece a really good cleaning and then priming with Slick Stick. For any shiny slick surfaces such as Formica, laminates, counter tops, tiles or glass, this DB Primer saves me a ton of time prep work.

No sanding required… it just needs to be clean! I wait 2-3 hours and apply a second coat and let that dry overnight.

After this dresser was cleaned and primed, I sprayed two coats of Cotton.

For the finishing touches, I added Fern Woods furniture transfer. Love this design because you can make it original to each piece by placing the design any which way you like!

Finally, I sprayed two coats of this clear finish in flat.
