How to Create a Grunge Piece

This piece is best defined as Grand to Grunge! The perfect combination of metals makes up the Grand and the drippings create the Grunge.

Dixie Belle Paint Products:
How To:

I painted this piece from top to bottom in this order of colors: Stormy Seas, Savannah Mist, and Buttercream.

Next, I added a combination of gold, silver, and copper leaf to artistically adorn the front and sides of the piece.

I also used metal accents to enhance the drawer fronts. The silver accent was then blended into the drawer fronts for added dimension.

I added a faux alligator pattern to the the top of the piece. In the end, copper hardware is the perfect jewelry for this piece.

Check out my video on gold and silver leafing.

This versatile piece can either be grand or grunge. It would be a wonderful buffet, bar or media console. I’m in love with the finished product!

Would love to!

I have one too! Did it on top of this dresser. Love it!!

I have one! LOVE it! It makes a very cool wood grain pattern! I did it on a desk/vanity.

I definitely would love this!

Works great I used it on this coffee table.

We did this desk top. We tried to make it look like metal with wood grains.

It's a lot of fun to work with. You can make the knots small or longer depending on when you rock the tool.
